…Except not at all.
Andrew Carter is an award-winning director, writer, editor & barbecue enthusiast from Riverside, Connecticut who remade Jurassic Park with action figures in his backyard when he was 12. He graduated from Chapman University in 2011, and then worked behind the camera on movies like THE WAY WAY BACK and SUPER TROOPERS 2.
After those films, Andrew made what would become his directorial calling card: the independent pilot/short film REVENGE TOUR, which won awards at the 2018 LA Film Festival and SXSW 2019, and was selected for the 2019 Sundance New Voices Lab. His next short, MARVIN’S NEVER HAD COFFEE BEFORE, screened at SXSW 2021 and Palm Springs ShortFest 2021.
Andrew is an emotional dude who sees the world in a cinematic way. He tries to reflect that in his work. The short films featured on here are Andrew’s favorites, and they’re all connected to each other as well. And in Hollywood, any meaningful connection is good, right?
Andrew lives with his incredible wife Zoë and their insane dog Bill. He’s wrapping up his most recent short film, LIBBI’S TRYING while simultaneously developing several feature film scripts. He'd like to direct at least one of them before the world ends - sorry, there’s that emotion again!
